Security and Safety in the manufacturing system

There are twelve manufacturing bases including 6 owned plants as well as 3 subsidiary and 3 related plants in Japan. The total manufactured amount, including commissioned manufacturing for competitors, totals 3,360 KT annually. Additionally, planned to commence operations in April 2011, the 13th manufacturing base is presently under construction in Hokkaido.

MNF is promoting to maintain and upgrade the manufacturing system toward safety and security, based on:

	Thorough quality control of products & ingredients, and manufacturing process control
	Measures to fight BSE: Clear separation on manufacturing line between ruminant and monogastric animal feeds
	ISO9001 2000 certificate: Effort to take certificates in all of plants is in progress, 4 major owned plants ( Kashima, Kagoshima, Chita, Hekinan ) have already been certificated.
	Antimicrobial GMP certificate based on MAFF guideline: Effort to take certificates in all of plants is in progress, 3 major own plants ( Kashima, Kagoshima, Chita, ) have already been certificated.
